“La Reina” is a short documentary about Edisson Medina aka Paquita De La Torres, a London-based Latina drag queen. In the film, Edisson discusses some common misconceptions about the art of drag and how much performing means to him.

Julia Konarska
Julia was born and raised in Krakow, Poland. She is a Documentary Film (MA) student at the Queen Mary University in London. In terms of film, she is interested in queer and anti-systemic themes. She has been an activist for several years and is a member of the Make Poland Queer Again collective. “La Reina” is her first self-produced and shot film. Currently she works on two shorts: “Inanimate Objects” and “Be Trans, Do Crime”.
