SYNOPIS

A short documentary portraying the director of the Warsaw zoo, who has dedicated his life to saving birds of all kinds. A symbol of freedom, birds endlessly mesmerize us with their beauty as we encounter them during the course of our lives.

NADIA SZYMAŃSKA

Nadia Szymańska is a second-year student of the cinematography course at the Lodz Film School. After graduating from Jean Monnet high school in Warsaw with an International Baccalaureate diploma, Nadia began her studies as a cinematographer at the Warsaw Film School. During her time there she shot a short documentary "Flightless". Nadia's another short film "The Conversation" received an award at the 13th One-Minute Film Festival in Gdańsk. After the first year of studies, Nadia began working with advertising agencies, i.a. Papaya Films. A few years earlier, she worked on the digital reconstruction of many famous Polish films at the post-production studio Yakumama Films. Apart from her interest in film, Nadia is highly focused on photography. In 2019, she and her twin sister held a photo exhibition in Warsaw entitled "Bonds". As an advocate of film photography, Nadia shot two short fiction projects on black-and-white 35mm film in 2019. She is currently working on her next short film.
