Section: Art

This year, we are recalling some outstanding female artists and pioneers in their fields: the figure of Hilma af Klint, an abstract painter, Martha Cooper, a photojournalist, documenting graffiti art, a Croatian sculptor Marija Ujević Galetović, and the female pioneers of electronic music. We ponder on the disproportionate representation of male and female figures in the world of design. For the second time, we also check what will happen when we show the video artworks of female visual artists on a cinema screen, outside the gallery and museum context.
